I made SVGCuts Maple Manor for Halloween this year. This was my biggest 3-D project to date. It’s a good sized house at 12.5 inches high.
It was a major undertaking. It’s not confusing or difficult to put together. SVGCuts has wonderful assembly videos. It was time consuming. I spent one whole day cutting all the pieces and another half day putting it all together.
I chose to use the Silhouette Cameo over my Cricut Explore simply because I didn’t want to take the time to import every single file.
I embossed the siding in my Cuttlebug and used sandpaper to rough up the paper. The windows are made of vellum. I put a string of LED lights inside to give it a spooky glow at night.
It was a lot of fun to make and I plan on doing more large 3-D projects in the future.
