Where to start? A lot of “stuff” went into this double layout. The trick-or-treaters were cut with A Child’s Year. The houses, trees and fence were cut from the Heritage cartridge. Heritage doesn’t have the blackout feature for the houses but you can use a Gypsy or Cricut Craftroom to simply hide the window cuts to create a blackout shape. The bat is from October 31st.
I created the twilight effect on the paper using ink and the brayer technique. Here is a great website to learn how to use ink and stamping supplies to make gorgeous backgrounds for cards and layouts. The sidewalk was embossed with a Tim Holtz distressed brick embossing folder.
Details: Trick-or-Treaters and shadows cut at 4.5 inches, houses at 4 inches, trees at 5 inches, fence at 3 inches, and bat at 1.5 inches. Cardstock: Recollections and Bazzill. I used a variety of blue inks with a brayer for the sky and Tim Holtz Black Soot Distess ink around the page edges.
